> A directory of free-market businesses accepting alternative payments — Bitcoin, Lightning, Monero, precious metals, cash, and barter. Built for buyers and sellers who prefer financial freedom over traditional banking. Vendor self-listing, identity-based trust scoring, real-buyer reviews, and no banking dependencies.

Agorist.Market connects merchants and customers in the cryptocurrency, precious-metals, and barter economy. The directory has been operational since 2025 and is built on vanilla PHP with flat-file storage — no databases, no analytics trackers, no ad networks, no third-party fonts, no social-media trackers. The codebase is open to scrutiny and the project is bootstrapped, not VC-funded.

The site has two surfaces:

- **`agorist.market`** — the main directory, currently hosting hundreds of active listings across 50 business categories. Primary audience: English-speaking buyers, sellers, and reviewers worldwide.
- **`earth.agorist.market`** — international extension covering 190 country pages and 53 language translations. Primary audience: non-English speakers and country-specific search intent.

Both surfaces share a single set of listings (a listing in Tucson appears in both the main directory and on the corresponding US country page in the earth hub). Subdomains like `{vendor}.agorist.market` resolve to individual vendor storefronts via wildcard DNS.

Listings accept any combination of: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Lightning Network, Monero (XMR), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dash, gold, silver, copper, platinum, palladium, cash, money order, barter, and trade. The directory itself accepts Monero only for paid plans (no third-party payment processor; settlement is manual and verified via per-order amount tagging).
